Introduction to Fermentation
An overview yet thorough workshop on the basics of fermentation. Suitable for complete beginners and for anyone who has already experimented and wants to combine their fermenting practice and knowledge into a working whole.
During the workshop you'll learn the core logic of fermentation — what happens in the jar, what to avoid, and how to get started at home with minimal equipment. Together we'll prepare a classic vegetable ferment, taste a variety of ferments, and discuss the health effects of fermented foods. Every participant takes home their own jar, recipes and instructions — plus the confidence to keep going.

What participants say
"I gained the knowledge and confidence I needed to start experimenting with fermentation myself. The practical tips and trying things out together with someone experienced were the most valuable part. I got started with fermenting — now there are several jars and vacuum bags bubbling away on my kitchen shelf."
Eik H.
"Really cool! It was especially great that the practical part was included in the workshop and that you got to take your own jar home. It made it clear that fermenting is simple."
Liisa M.
